Why would the blower not be operating properly?

  • The blower switch may be turned off. It should be in "automatic."
  • The timer switch inside the panel is not in the center position.
  • The blower inlet filter may be clogged and need replacement.
  • The blower may need replacement.

Why isn't my unit discharging?

  • Pump switch may not be in "Auto" position.
  • Pump isolation valve (which is there for ease of pump replacement) may be closed.
  • Discharge check valve may be stuck.
  • Pump switch or pump itself is bad.

Why is there a foul odor coming out of the unit?

  • The blower may not be working properly thereby starving the bacteria of oxygen and reducing the active bacterial colony count and the unit has probably gone septic.
  • The bacteria in the tank have been killed off due to introduction of unauthorized cleaning agents/antibacterial chemicals into the unit and the unit has probably gone septic.

Why does my effluent water not meet purity standards?

  • Fluffer valve on Marine and Recreational units has been left open.
  • Blower switch is not in "Automatic" Mode.
  • Chlorinator tube is clogged or needs chlorine tablets.
  • Biological organisms in the tank have been killed due to introduction of unauthorized cleaning agents or antibacterial chemicals into the unit.
  • Up-flow filter is clogged due to not cycling fluffer valve as is stated in Four (4) Point Maintenance Plan.
  • The design capacity is being exceeded.
